Step 1: Ingredient Costs

Ingredient Cost = Quantity ร— Unit Cost ร— (1 + Wastage %)

Example: 500g butter @ $10/kg with 5% wastage = 0.5 ร— $10 ร— 1.05 = $5.25

Step 2: Total Recipe Cost

Total Cost = ฮฃ (All Ingredient Costs + Component Costs)

Sum all ingredients and linked components

Step 3: Cost Per Serve

Cost Per Serve = Total Cost รท Batch Yield

Example: $45 total cost รท 6 portions = $7.50 per serve

Step 4: Gross Profit %

GP% = ((Sell Price โˆ’ Cost Per Serve) รท Sell Price) ร— 100

Example: ($25 โˆ’ $7.50) รท $25 ร— 100 = 70%
